[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Korea National Park Service said that it found a total of 53 new and unrecorded species during a natural resource survey of three national parks such as the Dadohaehaesang, the Byeonsanbando and the Wolchulsan.
The Korea National Park Service has been conducting a regular survey of natural resources at national parks since 1991, and last year, it conducted a survey at the Dadohaehaesang, Byeonsanbando and Wolchulsan areas.
The survey found 1 new and 29 unrecorded species in the Dadohaehaesang, 2 new and 6 unrecorded species in the Byeonsanbando, and 2 new and 13 unrecorded species in the Wolchulsan area.
The 5 new species include 3 species of higher fungi and 2 species of insects.
The 48 unrecorded species consist of 25 species of higher fungi, 13 species of Araneida, and 10 species of insects.
