[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) announced that it will carry out a regular forecast service for the impact of the heatwave from June 1 to support the healthy life of the people from the increasing heat.
This regular service will be newly implemented in order to provide practical assistance by improving the problems in the pilot operation of the forecast service for the impact of the heatwave last year.
In order for the people to be able to recognize the risk of a heat wave at a glance, the level of risk will be expressed as a signal color (▷ green - attention ▷ yellow - caution ▷ orange - warning ▷ red - danger).
In addition, different levels of risk and impact information will be provided for each city and county.
“The Korea Meteorological Administration will make every effort to ensure that the people pass the summer safely through the regular service weather forecast,” KMA administrator Kim Jong-seok said.
