[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The K-Water, a company under the Ministry of Environment, said it has jointly published "Water and Future," with the Ministry of Environment, a specialized data book containing various water-related information, on the occasion of World Water Day on March 22.

The “Water and Future” provides information on general water management including domestic and overseas water resources, stable water securement and efficient supply, as well as information on real life such as comparison of water rates.

Various contents reflecting the direction of national water management have been added since the unification of water management.

They include measures to promote the use of sewage water by reprocessing abandoned sewage for industrial use, drought vulnerability maps and flood risk maps to prepare for climate change, and local waterworks modernization projects to improve old water pipes.

In addition, it contains information on real life, including an explanation of the advanced water treatment that enables safe use of water, comparison of water use in major cities around the world, and a comparison of the expenditure of water and other public utility charges such as transportation costs.
