[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Korea Water Technology Certification Agency under the Environment Ministry will hold an opening ceremony on November 26 to take the first step toward realizing the ideal direction of the national water industry.

The Ministry of Environment decided to establish the Korea Water Technology Certification Agency in Daegu.

The agency is the only water-related certification authority in Korea, which carries out various functions for the promotion of the domestic water industry, including recognition and verification of products and technologies in the water sector, related research and development, and support for overseas advancement of domestic water companies.

It also provides international-level certification services through various cooperative projects with leading overseas water-related agencies and serves as a bridgehead for domestic water companies to enter the overseas market.
