[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) announced that it will hold a forum of experts in Korea to respond to the second Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on October 29.
The forum will share the contents of IPCC special reports recently approved in August and September as well as the significance of the reports, 1.5°C and 2.0°C global warming and new greenhouse gas routes.
In the following discussion, experts in various fields will exchange opinions on ways to utilize scientific information on climate change in Korea and related status.
“We are looking forward to understanding information about the land and oceans, which are important bases for the survival, welfare and climate change through the forum, and we hope that many people will be interested in future climate change," said Kim Jong-seok, Administrator of the Korea Meteorological Administration.
