[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) announced that it will hold a public and civil climate service forum for climate change policy support on May 29 in order to promote a wide range of communication on climate and climate change policies.
To draw demand for climate and climate change information services, six sub-committees (▷ Climate monitoring · prediction ▷Climate change monitoring · prediction and adaptation ▷Ocean weather ▷Hydrometeorology ▷ Climate change prediction (Industry) ▷ Ocean weather (Industry)) will be organized.
This forum will begin with the launching ceremony and go into full-fledged activities. A total of 46 people from related ministries and public organizations, academia, industry and private sector will participate.
“We hope that this forum will serve as a venue for responding to climate change and communicating climate issues, and will be a stepping stone to realize climate services that harmoniously integrate people's lives and climate,” KMA administrator Kim Jong-seok said.
