[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The K-water said it will provide international education on water management capabilities for 12 officials in the water sector of Sri Lanka and the Philippines from May 20-31.

In order to help solve international water problems more actively, the K-water has been carrying out the international education on water management capabilities by recruiting students from developing countries since last year.

The contents of the education are composed of six major water management issues faced by developing countries, such as improving revenue water ratio, developing water resources and water supply, managing water quality, developing renewable energy and managing underground water.

Under the theme of improving revenue water ratio, the education will focus on establishment of revenue water ratio management policies, water network maintenance and leakage exploration, and investment and efficiency assessment of waterworks.

“Based on our experience in international education over the past 20 years, along with the implementation of water management in Korea for half a century, we will do our best to cooperate on water issues in the global community and provide healthy water supply for everyone,” CEO of K-water said.
